Reasons Why You Have to Move Your WordPress Blog to HostGator Hosting Today
I have used HostGator’s hosting services to run my WordPress blog since 2008 and the first blog that I hosted under HostGator was Huzzer.com (which I subsequently sold it for good sum of money).
What can I say about HostGator is I have never thought of changing to other web hosting providers after I have tried HostGator. At the moment, there are about 12 WordPress blogs including Kissing Crust are running by me using HostGator and I never have any issue with the provided services.
HostGator is simply awesome.

And why I write this post?
It is simply I want you to move your WordPress blog to HostGator today and then, see you enjoy the services provided by HostGator like I am today.
The move will be worth it!
Why Today?
These are the reasons why should move to HostGator today. And plus, this not a paid review. This is from my personal experiences in handling various blogs under HostGator.
1) Customer Support
I am totally impresses with HostGator‘s customer support. Once you make use of it for the first time especially the live chat, you will love it right away. This was I felt back then.
For your information, that is the first place which I will go when I encounter problem regarding my WordPress blogs which I can’t solve on my own; not Google or discussion forums. Even though it is not related to hosting, if you are lucky, the staffs from HostGator will help to solve the problems in minutes. If it can’t be done, they will tell you right away.
Another factor that makes this the main reason why I recommend HostGator to you is the support team is available around the clock.
This is pretty handy for those who from outside the United States like me (I’m from Malaysia btw
). If not, you have to wait for hours to get supports as some of the hosting providers will only provide supports within their fixed working hours.
If you can afford to wait, please stay with your current hosting but if you can’t afford to wait for hours to get your problems resolved like me, join me in HostGator.
Plus, you can know how long is the queue of HostGator’s customers who are in the line to get supports and many staffs are available to help you with your problems.

2) Pricing
Even if you have just started blogging using self-hosted WordPress, HostGator offers reasonable prices for the hosting services that they provide.
Let’s go straight to the point. Just grab the Baby Plan even though you only have 1 blog at the moment if you serious in blogging. The services that come along with the package worth more than the price you have to pay plus the pricing difference between Hatchling Plan and Baby Plan is negligible.

HostGator also offers all year round promotion which entitles you for 20% discounts for any hosting package from HostGator.
To make it more interesting, HostGator also let those who join HostGator’s affiliate program (including me) to issue their own coupons which cut down the pricing of the hosting package further.
And here are the coupons from Kissing Crust which you can use:
- kissingcrustdotcom994 – you will get a discount of $9.94 off the package price
- kissingcrustdotcom25 – you will a discount of 25% off the total package price
So, you can choose either one of the above coupons depending which suits you best. Plus, do share those coupons with your friends. I am sure they will love you even more!
Why Should You Trust My Review?
One simple answer: You have nothing to lose but lots of things to gain.
The reason why I do this review is solely to share my experiences and perspectives of using HostGator. Plus, I will probably get few bucks from the purchase of HostGator’s hosting package that you will probably make through my affiliate links that I slotted in this review.

Plus, in case you hate HostGator’s services so much after you have purchased, you can simply contact HostGator to get your money back as HostGator have 45 days money back guarantee. I am sure within the period, you will know whether HostGator is a good hosting provider or not.
Your Says
Are you using HostGator for your WordPress blog? What are the features that you love most? For me, they are the above two features; support and pricing.
Share your thoughts and experiences about HostGator. I am sure others are eager to know more about HostGator.

Planning to move my wordpress blog to hostgator but still undecided. My friends also recommended it to me. Great review! I’m definitely convinced!

Good to hear that you are planning to move your blog to HostGator. My advise is make the move now, try it and if you don’t like it, ask for refund.
That was what I did before with other hosting providers. Unless you try, you will never know which hosting is the best for you.
Btw, in case you have made you move, do share your experience on HostGator over here ok?

Yes, Hostgator is absolutely fantastic! After having so many webhosting nightmares, I wouldn’t dare trust anyone else more than Hostgator.
Stephanie
Well, hostgator certainly is one of the best. They used to have this really annoying inode limit but since they’ve relaxed that they’re topnotch!
Jennifer
I, too, have been very satisfied with them – especially after my last hosting experience.
Corey
Interesting…I was considering moving over to cloud hosting. I am still trying to figure out which is best.
Bretta
I actually have blogger instead of wordpress. Is this good for hotgator too?
Christine
I have a question actually. I got caught with Bluehost when they said unlimited domains, unlimited sql, etc. Then I found that’s not true because they limit the number of tables you can have. A few wordpress blogs and a few joomla sites and I’m basically toast.
Does Hostgator also do this to users?
Helmi Asyraf
Hi Christine,
Good to have you over here. Hope you love Kissing Crust.
To be honest with you, that’s the normal practice of webhosting service providers who offer unlimited domains, size and so on….
If you only use the hosting for few blogs and sites, I don’t think it will be such a big issue for you.
For Hostgator for example, it allocates 250,000 inodes. Inodes = the number of files and folders you have.
But you can pull the numbers down by simply delete any files or emails you no longer need.
In case want to read more on this, check this out; http://support.hostgator.com/articles/pre-sales-policies/rules-terms-of-service/inode-usage

I have never tried hostgator. But some of my friends are using it. Maybe next year is my turn to use it

When you want to move to Host Gator, maybe you can use the coupon above; can save you a lot.
In the mean time, why don’t you join the latest Kissing Crust’s giveaway? You can when good hosting package from Media Temple. Their service is pretty good!
