Detect Resource Hogging WordPress Plugins With P3 (Plugin Performance Profiler)
In my last post, I have shared with you one tool, WhichLoadsFaster which you can use to check your site’s loading time and how it is fared against other sites. In case you have missed the post, click on the link below.

One of the reasons that lengthen your WordPress site’s loading time is you have installed resource hogging WordPress plugins into your WordPress site. Often times, WordPress sites load slowly because of poorly-configured plugins or because there are so many of them.
So, how can you know which WordPress plugins that use the most resources and which WordPress plugins you should rid them out?
My suggestion is give a shot on this one particular WordPress plugin: P3 (Plugin Performance Profiler).
P3 (Plugin Performance Profiler)
This plugin does just what its name says, it creates a profile of your WordPress site’s plugins’ performance by measuring their impact on your site’s load time. To use P3 (Plugin Performance Profiler), simply click “Start Scan” to run an automated scan of your site.
The scanner generates some traffic on your WordPress site and monitors your site’s performance on the server, then shows you the results. With this information, you can decide what action to take; either to keep the plugins that you love or rid them out.
How P3 (Plugin Performance Profiler) works?
The way this plugin works is it detects visits from your IP address and actively monitors all php user defined function calls while the server generates your WordPress pages. It then records the information in a report file you can view later.
When the scan is complete, or you click “Stop Scan,” the plugin becomes dormant again.

Apparently, Popular Posts Bars plugin which I bought from Code Canyon uses the most resources. So, what do you think? Should I just remove it or want me to still keep it?
